Dough:
1 C. water
2 tbsp. butter or oleo
3 C. Flour for bread machine
1/4 C. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. active yeast
Mixture for rolling dough:
Approx. 1/4 C. melted butter or oleo
Combine 3/4 C. white sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon in another bowl
Mixture for bottom of pan combine the below:
1 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 C. Karo white syrup
Remove dough to floured surface, kneed and shape into a ball, let it rise for an hour, (should be doubled in size), cut into 3 equal parts. Then each part into 3 equal parts, making 9 equal parts. Roll each piece of dough into a roll approx. 5″ long. Roll each roll in melted butter – then cinnamon sugar mixture, then tie each one in a knot, now place the 9 knots in a round pan which has the butter, brown sugar and karo syrup mixture, if you like you can add Pecan to this mixture as well. Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes. Once baked immediately place plate over the top of rolls and flip them over, now the mixture will drizzle over the top of the rolls.
One of my families favorites for breakfast or with chili or anytime.
Enjoy and take care!
